AGRICULTURE MODULE

Agriculture is a very new learning for me as I am not from any agricultural background, this is the first time I learned so many things about agriculture. Right from the pre-training I was looking forward to learn organic farming and my expectation came very well through this module. After this module I can practice the methodologies and also educate my friends who don’t know about the agricultural practices. Apart from the module I learned how to facilitate a training programme in an effective way, how to make learning an easy job to the new learners with our own creativity. The field visit after the module was a live place to see the all learning which we got in the class for 3 days and got a better knowledge about how to practice organic farming.

This module covered all this points’ history of the agriculture, low external input and sustainable agriculture (LESIA) and natural resource management. Integrated crop management like alternative farming practices like mixed crops, inter cropping, crop rotations, green manuring, etc.
During village visit to agriculture field learnt about Farmers Field School and Shree method of cultivation. The farmer’s life style and socio-economical condition and new method of cultivation are understood through village visit.
